Inspired by the industrial revolution and groundbreaking scientific discoveries, the average homeowner has developed an interest in inventions, "improving" their lives using cutting-edge science and technology (untested) in every aspect of their social and domestic life. Unfortunately, their enthusiasm often prevailed and their indifference to health and safety often led to disaster.
