Baidu has made several important announcements regarding Apollo, its open source autonomous vehicle technology platform, at CES today. The first is the launch of Apollo Enterprise for vehicles that will be put into mass production. The company says that Apollo is already used by 130 partners worldwide. One of its newest partners, the Chinese electric vehicle start-up WM Motors, plans to deploy self-driving level 3 vehicles by 2021. The main Apollo Enterprise product lines will include solutions for autonomous highway driving; valet parking service; fully autonomous minibuses; an intelligent map data service platform; and DuerOS (Baidu voice assistant) for cars.
