A Denver-based start-up, which has long been trying to push commercial airplanes beyond supersonic speeds, has just received a big injection of funds. Boom Supersonic, which builds and designs what it calls "the world's first economically viable supersonic airliner," announced today it has closed a $ 100 million Series B round of financing led by Emerson Capital.
