China’s lunar probe makes history by successfully soft-landing on the far side of the moon

It is not yet the Lunar New Year, but there is something new on the moon. China has announced that its lunar program has successfully landed a probe on the other side of the moon, making it a major milestone for space exploration, becoming the first to do so. The historic landing was reported by Xinhua, The official Chinese news agency, earlier in the day. According to the National Space Administration of China, the probe, consisting of a lander and a rover, sitted around 10:26, Beijing time.
