Schneider has corrected three vulnerabilities in one of its popular electric car charging stations, which, according to security researchers, would have easily allowed an attacker to take remote control of the unit. In the worst case, an attacker can force a plugged-in vehicle to stop charging, rendering it unusable in a "denial of service state", an attack favored by some actors of the threat because it is about an effective way to force an element to stop working.
