The Senate has officially confirmed the next FCC Commissioners Brendan Carr and Geoffrey Starks were officially confirmed by the Senate for a five-year term. This completes the five-seat commission, which must be balanced between the two parties – today's additions now carry three Republicans and two Democrats. Carr, named and previously confirmed in August 2017 (but only now for his full term), was advisor to FCC President Ajit Pai, while he was a commissioner, and previously worked in a law firm specializing in telecommunications. He is the Republican of both. Starks was appointed last June and worked in the FCC
